What do your labs consist of? How do I get them done? +
Functional medicine lab kits are delivered to your door, with full instructions for easy, at-home testing. For bloodwork we’ll support you in finding a local phlebotomist to come to your house or a local blood draw center for you to go to. Note: phlebotomy fees are not included in your program fee due to liability and local logistics - they typically range from $25-100. For our gut testing kit, this is a stool sample that will be self collected at home.
What does each panel cover? +
Bloodwork:
Our comprehensive blood panel is one of the most in-depth available in functional medicine. It’s designed to uncover root causes across multiple systems—hormones, thyroid, inflammation, nutrients, and more—so we can build a truly personalized wellness plan.
It includes markers for:
→ Thyroid function: TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Total T3 & T4, Anti-TPO, Anti-TG
→ Sex & adrenal hormones: Estradiol, Progesterone, LH, FSH, DHEA-S, Cortisol, Pregnenolone, Prolactin, Testosterone panel
→ Nutrient status: Ferritin, Iron, Folate, Vitamin D, B12, B3, B6, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper
→ Blood sugar regulation: Fasting glucose, Insulin, A1c, Beta cell function, Leptin
→ Inflammation & cardiovascular health: hs-CRP, Homocysteine, ox-LDL, Lipid panel
→ Liver, kidney, and metabolic function: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, CBC w/ diff & platelets
→ Autoimmunity screen: ANA IFA Panel
This panel helps us identify imbalances that are often missed in conventional testing and allows us to create targeted, effective protocols based on your unique biology.
Gut Panel:
Our gut health panel is a comprehensive stool test that looks at key markers related to immune health, digestive function, and microbiome balance. It can assess:
- Bacterial overgrowth or imbalance (dysbiosis)
- Candida or fungal overgrowth
- Parasites or pathogens
- Digestive function (including enzymes and fat absorption)
- Intestinal inflammation and immune activation
- Short-chain fatty acid production
- Gut barrier integrity (markers for leaky gut)
This test helps us understand the root causes of symptoms like bloating, irregular bowel movements, food sensitivities, fatigue, and skin or mood issues—and guide your protocol accordingly. Even clients who aren’t presenting with digestive symptoms often have imbalances in their gut.
